I occasionally add citations refering to my sources (books, magazines, websites, etc.) on this website. This article is mostly a reminder for myself about what I use and how.
I use the Zotero software. With it, I select the "Modern Humanities Research Association 4th edition" style (with the Firstname Lastname option), for no other reason than it's the one I like the most. I must remember to add italics tags to the book/magazine/website title, and to remove the period at the end when adding the citations to this website. Some citations (especially for websites) might need to be restructured manually.
For accessibility purposes, I used to have double hyperlinks in my citations to easily go back to where the source was mentioned in the article. However, now that my articles have gotten longer and that one source might be quoted multiple times in one page, this system doesn't work anymore and I haven't found a better one yet, meaning that my articles are now less accessible than they used to be. If anybody reading this has suggestions on how to approach this issue, please let me know.
